Pricing figures are a fixed snapshot from June 2026. Directory counts update as listings change. They come from different samples and different dates, so we keep them in separate blocks and ask you not to join them in one sentence.

Pricing (June 2026 snapshot)

Across 44 verified US FBA prep centers that publish a per-unit rate, the median entry rate is $1.30 per unit (Pricing Index 2026, June 2026).

- Two centers publish a word-for-word identical rate card, which we count once; counting it twice reads $1.28. This is a census of our directory, not an industry-wide survey, and it compares published headline rates, not a normalized basket.
Published entry prices for FBA prep run 58% higher per unit in the four tax-free states with priced centers (NH, OR, DE, MT; 24 centers) than in the rest of the US (20 centers): a $1.50 median versus $0.95 (Pricing Index 2026, June 2026).

- A price gap, not a share of listings (stat 7 is a different figure). An observed pattern in published prices, not a causal estimate: the tax-free pool skews to small operators, and total cost also depends on tax and freight. Alaska, the fifth such state, had no priced center.

What the words mean here.
- Verified
- Published, with no editor flag or stale ruling, and last checked within 90 days.
- Prep specialist
- Inbound FBA prep is the core product: per-unit receiving, inspection, FNSKU labeling, polybagging, bundling, forwarding.
- Multi-service operator
- Prep-led, with a real second line such as DTC fulfillment, contract packaging, sourcing or storage.
- Full 3PL (full-service 3PL)
- A general fulfillment operation with a confirmed, substantive FBA prep service.
- Tracked entity
- Any distinct web-visible business presenting itself as an FBA prep service that our census found, listed or not. Only the census line uses this denominator.
