The registered office at Companies House is the same Cradley Heath warehouse unit the site publishes, after both moved there from Stirchley, Birmingham, in 2026 (the registry change is dated 21 October 2026). The company and the domain were registered the same day in September 2021, and the offer is prep only: receiving and inspection at 0.23 GBP per unit plus FNSKU labelling at 0.19 GBP per unit, billed as separate lines, at up to 100 units a month, falling by monthly volume tier to 0.13 and 0.11 GBP above 2,000 units a month, plus bundling, polybagging, and returns reprocessing, with no setup fee, no monthly cost, and no minimums. A public calculator prices a job before you commit. Amazon's Service Provider Network directory lists it in the UK marketplace as Fast Prep Center UK, an FBA Preparation provider (checked October 10, 2026); the 'SPN Verified' wording on its own badge is the site's, not Amazon's. The site's 680+ sellers figure is operator-stated and we did not independently confirm it.

The rebrand from GE Prep is handled transparently: the same company number appears on both eras and the Google reviews span both names.

Worth knowing: The homepage claims 5+ years of experience; the company was incorporated in July 2023. We record that as an operator claim the registry does not support.

The disclosed sister company, Far East Shipping (UK) Ltd, operates from the same unit and covers container devanning and freight, which we verified against its own registration. We date the prep business to 2022: the legal entity is older but traded as Ship Your Baggage Limited until its 2023 rename, and the site honestly avoids established-2018 framing.

Worth knowing: Three things to check before committing volume. The registry SIC code does not describe prep or logistics, so the paper trail is thinner than on the other entries. The site's imagery dates to 2020-2021 uploads and the 0.25 GBP entry rate is low for the 2026 market, so confirm the rate card is current before relying on it. And the operator states it does not charge VAT; that is their statement about their own billing, not something we verified, and the other rate cards on this page are quoted plus VAT, so compare accordingly.

The operator we rejected

As of June 2026, every ranking list in the UK results for this search is published by a company with a commercial stake in its own ranking, and two of them recommend the operator we rejected. That operator is FBA Prep (fba-prep.com), a Stoke-on-Trent business whose site runs roughly 50 templated "FBA prep in [US state]" pages with no US facility behind any of them, stock-photo testimonials, and footer links to unrelated businesses. The Companies House entity behind it (no. 15590799) was incorporated on 24 March 2024 against a since-2017 claim on the site. Two of the six ranking pages above (AMZ Prep and Ascend FBA) recommend it among their picks; we re-checked both pages on 9 June 2026. That is what verification is for. What changes when your prep centre is in the UK.

VAT: there is no tax-free-state play.

US sellers shop for prep centres in sales-tax-free states. The UK has no equivalent: VAT is set nationally by HMRC at a standard 20% with no regional variation, and it applies to prep and fulfilment services. What matters instead is that VAT-registered sellers reclaim the VAT paid on prep services as input VAT, so the posted price and your effective cost differ once registered. Expect every rate card on this page to be quoted plus VAT.

Imports: EORI and who clears customs.

If your stock arrives from outside the UK, someone must be the importer of record with a UK EORI number. Some centres receive under their own EORI and handle import-VAT accounting; others require you to hold your own. Ask which model a centre uses before booking freight, not after.

Brexit: UK and EU stock pools are separate, with one bridge.

Pan-European FBA stopped covering the UK when the Brexit transition ended in January 2021, so EU-stored stock does not serve amazon.co.uk and UK-stored stock does not move freely into EU fulfilment centres. Amazon reopened the European Fulfilment Network between the UK and EU in March 2022, which lets UK inventory fulfil some EU orders cross-border with the right VAT and customs setup. A UK prep centre covers your UK pool either way; whether it helps your EU pool depends on its export and customs capability, so ask specifically.

Amazon's UK prep specs are the same bar everywhere.

Amazon's UK packaging requirements (Seller Central help page G200141500) set the specifics a centre must hit: scannable FNSKU barcodes unique per variant and condition, polybags at least 1.5 mil thick, fully sealed, with suffocation warnings where required, and expiry dates printed in 36-point or larger type in DD-MM-YYYY or MM-YYYY format. A centre that cannot quote these specs back to you has not read them.
